Hello, my name is Scott Russell. Hugo Large is a pen name I’ve created to use for this blog. My own name was already taken as a registered domain so I needed something short and easy to remember. That’s where the name Hugo Large came in. The name Hugo Large was inspired after one of the characters on one of my favorite TV shows, LOST. That’s where the name Hugo comes from but the last name, Large came from the name of one of the contestants on the TV show “Rock Star” named Storm Large. Not that the character Hugo on LOST is not large, he is but I just liked the last name and thought it fit.
Ok, then who is Scott Russell?
Well, that’s me, the creator and writer of this weblog. I’m an early 40’s family guy who works in the IT field and loves Apple computers and technology products. My love for Apple started in 2002 when I bought my wife her first iPod. I think I was more excited to open it then she was and soon after I got my first Mac, an iBook G3. Not too long after getting the iBook, I bought a Powerbook G4 which was the computer I really wanted in the first place. Now, the Powerbook has been sold, the iBook is still running smooth and is being used by my daughter and my new toy is a MacBook Pro which I absolutely love.
I’m also an aspiring amateur digital photographer. You can view some of my work on Flickr! I’ve recently become interested in HDR photography and have tried my hand at a few images. Although I’m passionate about photography, I don’t get enough time to really enjoy it.
